The DNA samples
you provide for paternity testing go through
a rigorous analysis procedure, each sample
is run thrice to compare the 16 genetic ‘loci’
required, and to ensure an accuracy of 99.999%
for both positive and negative matches.
Our laboratories have ISO 17025 accreditation,
and we use only the best laboratory equipment
and materials that comply with the highest
international standards, all to ensure that
you get the most accurate results and peace
of mind.
We are able to analyse a
variety of different sample types including
hair, nails and used toothbrush, the results
will be just as accurate as standard ‘cheek
swab’ samples however there is possibility
of contamination from other DNA sources and
there are additional charges for these sample
types, additional charge information can be
received by contacting us by phone or email.
Please note: Hair samples require
the root to be intact, as such we recommend
plucking hair.
We are aware
that Paternity testing is a sensitive issue
and as such we treat every result with utmost
confidentiality and anonymity. Your sample
will only be used for paternity testing comparisons,
and your sample is sufficiently destroyed
after DNA extraction to be rendered unusable
after.
We do not share information with any third
party and the final results are only provided
to the person purchasing the test by fax,
email and post upon identification.
Our DNA sample
collection kits are very easy to use and buccal
(inside cheek) swab sample collection is painless
so a DNA sample can be taken as soon as a
child is born.
No, our tests
are sufficiently accurate with just a sample
of the father and child, a DNA sample from
the mother can be sent, however the results
will be equally accurate in either case so
the mothers’ DNA sample is not necessary.
